How I use your details
The short version: I only use what you send me to reply to you, I don’t sell it, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

Who I am
The data controller for this website is Archie Velauss, trading as Bedrock Web Derby, a sole trader based in Derby. That means I’m responsible for looking after the personal details you share through this site.
For any question about your details, or to ask for a copy, a correction or deletion, email archie@bedrockweb.studio.
What I collect
When you fill in the “Get a free mock-up” form, I receive:
- your name, business name, trade and town
- your phone number, and your email address if you give it
- your current website address, if you have one
- anything you write in the message box
If you message me on WhatsApp or ring me, I’ll also have your phone number and whatever you send me.
Why I use it
I use your details to reply to you, to put together your free mock-up, and to talk to you about a website if you’d like one. The legal basis is that you’ve asked me to get in touch (taking steps at your request before a possible contract), and my legitimate interest in replying to enquiries. I won’t add you to a mailing list, and I never sell or share your details for marketing.
Who else handles it
- Formspree processes form submissions: when you send the “Get a free mock-up” form, Formspree receives it and delivers it to my inbox. They store submissions on my behalf and may process data outside the UK, under safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
- Vercel hosts this website. I use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in a privacy-friendly way. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you personally.
- WhatsApp (Meta) handles any messages you send me there, under their own privacy policy.
How long I keep it
If we don’t end up working together, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If we do, I keep what I need to do the work and look after your site, plus the records the law requires for tax, which is usually 6 years.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use cookies for tracking or advertising, so there’s no cookie banner to click through.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of the details I hold about you, ask me to correct them, or ask me to delete them. Email your request to archie@bedrockweb.studio and I’ll sort it within a month, usually much sooner.
If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
